Vox AC15 Tube Sets consists of 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes, and 2 x EL84 power tubes. Retube your Vox AC15 with our option selector – You can change the brand of power tube or preamps to suit your specific needs and sound.

The Vox AC15 was designed by Dick Denney in 1958 for Jennings Musical Instruments (JMI). It is often described as being the first guitar amplifier created specifically with the guitar’s frequency range in mind, rather than merely being adapted from existing tube-amplification circuits.

Regardless, this is an amplifier that segues beautifully from shimmering cleans to toothsome overdrive, and original examples are among the most prized vintage amps on the collector’s market today.

With the sound that launched the original “British Invasion” in the 1960’s, this amp was used by bands such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, The Kinks, and also used to record the James Bond theme first heard on the Dr. No soundtrack in 1962.
Characterised by classic chime and juicy overdrive, the amp delivers 15 watts of 2 x EL84 power, driven by 3 x 12AX7 preamps.
