Mullard 12AX7 Preamp Tube
The Mullard 12AX7 Preamp Tube delivers a large sound stage with excellent detail. Factory selected for low noise and minimum microphonics.
This is a faithful reproduction of the Mullard 12AX7. This tube has the chime and lushness you would expect from a Mullard without all the cost.
Microphonics is not an issue despite the larger that average plate structure. Not really high gain at all, but a real good noise floor and a nice smooth tone that doesn’t encourage ear fatigue the way some preamps can be.
When should I use a Mullard 12AX7 Preamp Tube?
Premium high gain Twin Triode ideal for use in HiFi preamplifiers. This tube will also produce great sounds in Marshalls, particularly vintage style plexis. Replicates the sound signature of the large plate Mullard ECC83 tubes popular in the 1960s and 1970s.
• Large sound stage with excellent detail
• Factory selected for low noise and lowest microphonics
• ECC83/7025 equivalent
Founded in 1920 in Southsfield, London, Mullard became known world wide for their reliable, high-quality components and vacuum tubes or “valves”. Today’s new production Mullard tubes are constructed with the same commitment to quality and reliability.

Very tight crunchy overdrive on breakup & massive bass response, excellent tube for Fender Hot Rod series amps which I find are pretty lacking in bottom end compared to other Fender tube amps.
