Balanced JJ 5751 Preamp Tube

The Balanced JJ 5751 preamp tube can be used in most 12AX7 circuits to achieve more headroom.

These tubes are balanced.

The JJ 5751 was designed as a “ruggedised” high mu, dual triode tube with similar specifications to the 12AX7. With 30% reduced gain, the 5751 is a fantastic way to tame a distortion stage and tone shape an amp. They and are often used to quiet down guitar amps that have too much gain.

These “short plate” 5751’s utilise a “short plate” design and the tubes have great compression and harmonic complexity, they are perfectly suited for creating articulate mid-range and warmer high end response.
